Recovery is going well

So we are, I guess, five days out of India now and starting to feel like ourselves a bit again. The Maldives was the perfect choice, especially Kudadoo. We are taking more advantage of all the included “activities” this time more than last. We have had three massages already!  and Chris got a pedicure too. Their motto is anything, anytime, anywhere, or as they call it now, the triple A experience. It’s all included. Mike hopes to try the Sea Bob tomorrow and he will also scuba dive while Chris does yoga and we still have facials and the salt cave to experience!

At first we felt a little frustrated because our butler filled our schedule in with things we had not requested, so we had a bit of undoing to take care of. Then he got sick and is off island and we are in better hands now with our new butler. Oh, funny thing - our villa attendant, Ali, says he remembers us from seven years ago when he took care of us. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing when housekeeping remembers you 😳 but he says it is because Mike was always photographing the heron. He’s always been a man with a plan but he’s weaning away from the bird photography a bit and relaxing.

The food is excellent and we are much healthier eaters now and we consume a lot less alcohol. It is very amusing to us how small the forks are!

Today we hopped on a small boat to just go two islands over so we could snorkel where the turtles hang out in the grassy bottom. So nice to see them and we didn’t need to stay long. That island was jam packed looking with a row of full beach chairs. Here we see almost no other guests; just our style.

We are not the only ones to make a return visit - this heron sure looks like the same one from seven years ago!
