Fun around the suite

Apparently I really like Jim’s Jungle Retreat because I have to add these additional tidbits. First, the soap “dishes” at the sinks in the bathroom are folded leaves as a little house and the bar of soap sits on rocks. When I first saw it, I thought it was pieces of wrapped salt water taffy and picked one up. Discovering it was a rock and not taffy, I was telling Mike my silly situation and he was having trouble comprehending “taffy.” He didn’t know if I meant “tacky” which this place is definitely not or if the word taffy meant something like tacky that he was unaware of. Eventually his real brain kicked in and he knew what I was saying.

And then there are the other cute touches: best door knocker we have ever seen, a woodpecker, and it actually works; and the overhead light with all the birds.

And I just got back from the spa where I had an excellent reflexology massage and scalp and shoulder massage. They know about all my neck knots in India now 😛. We had a nice morning of just birding the grounds here with Mahendra, we had breakfast sitting down together and then birded a bit more. Not sure I will be ready to leave this spot tomorrow morning, but maybe something better still awaits. As of right now, this is my favorite even beating the Oberoi which is nice in a less jungle way.

Oh, I’m also trying to purchase a pair of these in house slippers they provide which are perfect for travel! And I’m a Birkenstock lover but these little babies are comfy.
